9th Annual Pumpkin Race

By Gloria Wood
It's time for the 9th Annual Great Pumpkin Race to be held in front of the Village library (Red Brick School) on Saturday, October 25th, at 10 am sharp.
will be three classes amateur, semi-pro, and pro. Awards for first, second and third place will be presented at noon in front of the Library.
Amateur is rolling your own pumpkin down the hill and has two divisions - small and large. Small is 8 lbs. and under, with large being 8 lbs. and over. One pumpkin per entry in the amateur class. So take your best shot.
Semi-pro is attached to, or sat on, roller skates, skateboards or anything with small rolling wheels.
Pro contestant's pumpkins have axles passing through the pumpkins. Your entry can have three wheels or four. Whatever works for you.
There is no entry fee for this event. You can enter at your own wish.
Special awards will be given for the 1) most goulish/scariest, 2) funniest and 3) most elegant/beautiful.
Put your thinking cap on and join us for the 9th Annual Great Pumpkin Race. It's a blast, or you might say it's a "crash and smash contest."
For more information, call the Chamber at 682-2733, Dave Veneable, or Gloria Wood.
