MARDI GRAS 2004

     Yes indeed- it’s the 2nd Annual Mardi Gras Celebration, February 20th, 21st, 22nd, and 24th, 2004. The festivities will take place under the Big Top on Burro Avenue. This year’s tent will be bigger and better, with lots more entertainment to enjoy!
     The Cloudcroft Chamber of Commerce has just about completed all of the details for an extraordinary event.
     On Friday, February 20th, there will be a masked parade and umbrella decorating contest under the Big Top. Also a teen dance and karaoke with a D.J. until 10 pm.
     Saturday, February 21st - 10 am there will be Shop Celebrations, and a 2 pm Mardi Gras Parade. Following the parade there will be a party and introduction of the 2004 King and Queen. And lastly, from 6 pm to 10 pm there will be a Country Mardi Gras Dance.
     Sunday there will be a Pancake Breakfast hosted by the Lodge from 8-11 am. Monday, we rest! Tuesday, February 24th will be the Cloudcroft Employee and Community Appreciation Dinner and Dance. Everyone is invited to the Village pot-luck under the Big Top. All visitors to Cloudcroft are also welcome to just have fun, eat, dance and reflect on the weekend of Mardi Gras.
     In February, the Mountain Monthly will put the complete schedule of events. Engage your imagination and start dreaming up your floats!
