CHRISTMAS IN CLOUDCROFT

By Gloria Wood
The Chamber of Commerce is getting everything ready for Christmas in Cloudcroft. This year the Village Christmas Tree will be set up and decorated by Carol White, owner of the Flower Patch. Carol said the tree will be as beautiful as any tree in New York City. The lighting of the Tree will be November 18th at 6 pm in front of the Co-op Warehouse on Burro Avenue. There will be music, hot cider, hot chocolate, cookies, and caroling.
Put a big red circle on Saturday, November 29th, for holiday festivities in Zenith Park. At 6 pm sharp-the lights, music, and two bonfires will set the mood for Santa Claus’ arrival in the Park. Mrs. Claus will be in her kitchen passing out cookies while the little ones take turns visiting with Santa. So get your list ready. You can also get your picture with Mr. and Mrs. Claus.
There will be two bonfires-one big so you can warm your tootsies and one smaller to roast your marshmallows and hot dogs.
Also this year there will be snowmobile rides in Zenith Park. You might even get to ride with Santa Claus.
Everything is free - Christmas cookies, hot chocolate, cider, marshmallows, hot dogs, and snowmobile rides. It’s a wonderful way to start your holidays. Come join us in Zenith Park for Christmas in Cloudcroft.
